What we screw down
We are a Metalcraft Roofing installer and we fit their full range — roofing, wall cladding and rainwater — in NZ Steel COLORSTEEL®, Zincalume® and Galvsteel®. These are the profiles that come up most. If you have seen one that is not here, ask: if Metalcraft roll it, we will lay it.
Roof profiles
What goes on a house. Which one suits yours depends on the pitch, the look you want and the budget — we will bring samples and hold them up against the place before you decide.
Espan 340
Standing seam with concealed fixings and high ribs that throw a strong shadow line. Nothing pierces the flat of the sheet, so there is nothing to work loose or rust through.
Espan 470
The same standing seam as Espan 340, a little wider across the pan. Fewer seams over a big roof, and the same concealed fixings.
Corrugate
A true Kiwi icon, and still the most versatile sheet we lay. Cost-effective on roofs and walls, available in Zincalume, Galvsteel and COLORSTEEL Maxam, and it can be bullnose curved.
MC760
A five-rib trapezoidal profile for houses and commercial buildings, on the roof or the wall. It has the value of corrugate but goes down to a 3-degree pitch.
Metdek 500
A concealed-clip profile that suits low pitches on houses and commercial buildings alike. Available in Zincalume and COLORSTEEL Maxam.
Commercial and industrial
Wide sheets and low pitches, for roofs measured in thousands of square metres rather than hundreds.
Metcom 930
A Metalcraft profile built for commercial roofs and wall cladding. It spans further than most and goes down to a 3-degree pitch.
Translucent sheeting
A cheap way to get daylight into a shed, a factory or a covered deck. It runs in with the steel sheets and saves you leaving lights on all day.
MC1000
A wide trapezoidal sheet at 1000mm cover, which is what makes it economical over a big commercial or industrial roof — fewer sheets, fewer laps, less labour. Goes down to a 3-degree pitch, and lays on the roof or the wall.
Wall cladding
The same steel on the walls, laid vertically or horizontally. Worth asking about when the cladding has to match a new roof.
Metcom 965
A 965mm cover profile that works as roofing or as cladding, laid vertically or horizontally. Down to a 3-degree pitch, in Zincalume, Galvsteel or COLORSTEEL Maxam.
Metclad 850
Wall cladding only — clean trapezoidal lines at 850mm cover, made for walls rather than roofs. It is the one to ask about when the cladding needs to match a new roof.
Spouting and gutters
A new roof on old spouting is half a job. These are the profiles we fit, and we match them to the fascia you have got.
150 Quarter Round gutter
Our standard residential gutter, manufactured in COLORSTEEL Maxam. A rounded face that suits most houses and takes internal or external brackets.
125 Old Gothic gutter
A residential favourite that looks right on both longrun and tile. Internal brackets are available, and it fits Fascia 185, 155 and 135.
Box Gutter 125
Clean, bold lines and a high face that hides the sheet ends at the eave. Manufactured in COLORSTEEL Maxam and it suits profiled longrun.
Box Gutter 175
The bigger box gutter, for houses or commercial work. It carries more water and it is easy to clean out.
Box Gutter 300
The commercial box gutter, for roofs that shed serious volume. Easy to clear when the leaves come down.
