Privacy
This explains what we collect, why we have it, and how to get rid of it. If anything here is unclear, email admin@exoroofing.co.nz and ask.
What we collect
When you fill in the quote form on this site we collect your name, phone number, email address, the property address and suburb, what is going on with the roof, how old it is, whether you own the property, and anything you type in the message box. The only field we insist on is a phone number, because that is how Steve gets back to you.
We collect the same information when you submit a lead form on our Facebook or Instagram ads. Those forms are filled in on Meta's platform and the details are passed to us.
This site uses the Meta Pixel, which tells us that someone arrived from one of our ads and whether they enquired. It does not tell us who you are by name. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies and without tracking people across other websites.
Why we have it
To quote your roof, to do the work, and to invoice it. If we quote and you decide not to go ahead, we may follow up once to see whether you still need it. We do not send newsletters and we do not sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.
Where it lives
Enquiries are stored in HubSpot (our customer records), Tradify (our job and quoting system), and an automation platform operated for us by NATC Limited in Auckland, which is what delivers the enquiry to us in the first place. Some of these providers store data on servers outside New Zealand; they are required to protect it to a comparable standard.
Who sees it
Exo Roofing staff, and NATC Limited where they are maintaining the systems above. We do not sell your information, and we do not hand it to anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
While we are dealing with you, and afterwards for as long as any work we did is under guarantee. Records relating to work carried out or invoiced are kept for seven years, which is what New Zealand tax and record-keeping rules require. Enquiries that never turn into work are deleted once they are clearly no longer needed.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email admin@exoroofing.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days.
Deleting data collected through Facebook or Instagram
If you submitted a lead form on one of our Facebook or Instagram ads and want that deleted, email admin@exoroofing.co.nz with the subject Data deletion request. Tell us the phone number or email address you used so we can find the record. We will delete it and confirm when it is done.
If you are not happy
Tell us first — most things are a misunderstanding we can fix quickly. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
